Psychological support
The journey through parenthood can be very challenging and complicated. The uncertainty that often comes hand in hand with infertility is a difficult experience to manage and can cause depression and anxiety. It can bring back memories that might be painful and make a person feel quite lonely and overwhelmed. We believe that everyone deserves and needs support through this difficult journey. Here at Serum, we consider it very important to help you deal with it and offer as much support and understanding as possible.
We collaborate with Eirini Ampatzi Ippikoglou, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, with whom you can arrange a session and discuss everything might concern you on this delicate and overwhelming journey.

She continued by completing an MA in Counselling at Goldsmiths University. Through her work in charities and the NHS, she has substantial experience on a range of issues, including intimacy issues and infertility. She is currently attending weekly clinical psychoanalytic seminars at the Institute of Psychoanalysis as well as weekly psychoanalytic supervision.
She provides sessions via Zoom or Skype in English and Greek. If you think you want to give therapy a chance, feel free to send her an email, and you can arrange a brief phone call as well.

This would involve understanding fertility diagnoses and treatments, coping with the emotional rollercoaster of trying to conceive, managing stress and anxiety related to fertility treatments, improving overall wellness and lifestyle factors that can impact fertility, preparing for and recovering from fertility procedures, navigating relationships and communication during fertility struggles, exploring alternative family-building options, such as surrogacy, or egg/sperm donation, adoption.
Fertility coaching can be an invaluable resource for those facing fertility challenges, offering personalized and compassionate support throughout their journey to parenthood.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture as a practice has been used for many years in traditional Chinese medicine for a whole range of illnesses. Lately, more and more women find it very beneficial for their fertility journey as it contributes to their well-being, relaxation, mental and physical balance. It has been shown that acupuncture improves blood and lymph flow and nerve operation, while reproductive organs get more oxygen and nutrients to function properly. In addition, better blood flow in the uterus and the endometrium helps in embryo implantation.
We can easily arrange acupuncture sessions in our new premises during your fertility treatment and before or after embryo transfer.
